Enzymatic breaks down the complex waste molecules into progressively smaller less complex elements which in turn act as a food source for the existing bacteria present in the system. The bacteria can then multiply and accelerate the digestion of the waste material. 

The surfactants present in Enzymatic helps to reduce the fatty particle size and breaks apart surface accumulation of organic materials. The surfactant itself also becomes a food source.

A biological process takes time. Enzymatic is not an instant answer, but it is a lasting answer. 

The main point of difference between enzymatic and other bio additives is that enzymatic does not solely rely on the enzymes or bacteria in the product to work. Rather the efficiency of enzymatic is determined by the products ability to provide a package of essential nutrients required to stimulate and accelerate the digestion of organic waste.

Grease traps are required wherever fats and greases are discharged into the drainage system,

• canteens

• hotels and restaurants

• food processing plants

• abattoirs

• sports clubs

Recommended dosage rates are subject to several factors including the waste water system design, water flow rate, size of grease trap and retention times, composition of the waste material, the presence of any anti microbial products and client treatment objectives.

1. An initial shock treatment dosage is recommended to kick start the natural degradation process and thereafter, regular weekly dosage will keep drains clear of fat accumulation and will remove foul odours.

2. Apply Enzymatic last thing at night or at times of low activity to allow the product to work efficiently.

3. Apply Enzymatic at the furthest point from the outlet drain to allow the product to work the length of the drain system

4. Dosage rates will vary according to trap size and volume. 

 

Enzymatic works by stimulating the activity of microorganisms naturally present in the substrate. However, in any situation where bacterial activity is inhibited by abnormally low (acidic) or abnormally high (alkaline) conditions, the presence of biocides, very low or very high temperatures, high concentrations of salts and high concentrations of harsh chemicals, then Enzymatic will not correct these problems. It can only stimulate biological activity when other limiting factors are also controlled.
